What You Will Learn

Lessons may include:

• Identifying different hair textures, densities, lengths, and conditions

• Choosing techniques that are suitable for each customer’s hair

• Understanding the benefits and possible risks of braiding

• Using the correct amount of tension to help protect the scalp and hairline

• Recognizing when hair is too weak, damaged, or sensitive for braiding

• Providing customers with simple haircare and maintenance instructions

Students will learn how to create neat, professional results while helping protect the health of each customer’s natural hair and scalp.

The techniques covered may vary depending on the student’s experience, goals, and selected lesson.

Private, Hands-On Instruction

Each lesson is taught one-on-one, allowing students to learn at their own pace and receive personalized guidance throughout the class.

Students will practice using a mannequin head or another approved practice option. Class length, materials, and kit details will be provided before enrollment.
